NectarinePie 2y I caramelized 25 pounds of onions yesterday. Everything smelled like onions overnight even with all the doors and windows open. Today is day 2 of onions. How do I prevent everything in my house from smelling like onions until next year? Final update for the true onions: All the cooking is done. I have another wonderful pot of caramelized onions.
