r/swans u/Cenotaphilia. 5h Why do many people consider Leaving Meaning a lesser album? hi, r/swans I’ve been a part of this sub for a few months now and one of the opinions I’ve consistently read here is that Leaving Meaning is considered a lesser album in the most recent era of the band - some people deem it inferior to the trilogy and some people call it plain boring or disappointing. I’ve always enjoyed this record and so do my friends who like Swans, and before joining this sub, it would have never occurred to me that the album had so many detractors. now I don’t intend to start a fight here. I would simply like to read the reasons why some of you dislike the record. 22 15 SINGLE COMMENT THREAD Share : Award profiloemergenze 3h Because it doesn’t have a 35 minutes song with the canonical 8 minutes portion of just pulsing drums while the Mulholland Drive cowboy names random semi-serious words.
