Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Typhoons, Cyclones & Monsoons What’s the Difference
Videoda söylenenler
You've probably heard many times about hurricanes, tornado es, typhoons, cyclones, and monsoons. But what's the difference between them? First, these three guys, hurricanes, typhoons, and cyclones , are actually the same phenomenon. Huge tropical storms that form just over the water's surface, but are called different names depending on where they form. Thus, hurricanes are storms that form in the Atlantic Ocean and Northeastern Pacific Ocean. Monsoons form in the Northwestern Pacific Ocean, and the home of cyclones is the South Pacific and Indian Ocean. Interestingly, cyclones, unlike hurricanes and typhoons, rotate in the opposite direction because they form in the Southern Hemisphere. Tornadoes are not as large but very powerful rotating columns of air that form only over land. Tornadoes are most common in the United States, but they also occur in other parts of the world. And monsoons are seasonal winds that change direction twice a year and bring large amounts of rain. Cassoons are most often found in South Asia, where they have an impact on the climate and agriculture.
