The image is a meme featuring a muscular Shiba Inu dog, often used in internet memes. On the left, the dog is portrayed as a historical figure, wearing a robe and turban, with the caption "I ruled 3 continents and drew a map of America, developed the first robot. I made a lot of contribution to science." This is a satirical take on historical figures, implying their achievements are often misrepresented or forgotten. The image is split into two sections, labeled "formerly" and "now." In the "formerly" section, the dog is shown with a Greek flag on its torso. In the "now" section, the same dog is shown with a Turkish flag on its torso, and the text "yogurt is mine" and "no, is mine" are placed on either side. The joke, in Turkish, is about the long-standing territorial disputes and historical tensions between Greece and Turkey. The meme implies that claims about historical achievements (or cultural contributions like yogurt) are now being re-evaluated and contested, especially when considering modern nationalistic perspectives. It is a humorous and slightly cynical commentary on national pride and historical revisionism. In short, the humor comes from the juxtaposition of historical achievements with the modern, often contentious, claims of ownership over cultural items. The image highlights how historical narratives and claims of cultural inheritance can be subject to interpretations and re-framing over time.
