The photo shows a WhatsApp chat conversation. The conversation is about a group chat related to Cerrahpaşa (a district in Istanbul) in 2022. Someone is asking a question about something regarding Cerrahpaşa and other group members are responding.
The joke, in Turkish, isn't explicitly stated in a single punchline. It's a chain of responses that create the humor. The last message, "Polat haliti öldürdü sonra ablasını hiç görmedik" and "Noldu ablasına" refer to a popular Turkish soap opera or drama series. It's a play on words, implying that the subject of the group chat is related to that soap opera, and the mention of Polat Halit suggests a shocking or dramatic event. The implication is the conversation is trivial or off topic, and in the context of someone inquiring about "Cerrahpaşa" it's a playful, ironic reference to the soap opera's plot or drama. The previous questions, such as "Kime sorayım?" (To whom should I ask?) and "Ne sorucağına bağlı" (It depends on the question), add to the humor of the seemingly inconsequential inquiry masked by a dramatic event.
Essentially, the joke relies on the sudden and unexpected shift from a seemingly simple question to a dramatic soap opera-style reference.
