Hi, excuse me. Yeah. How much do you pay for rent in Japan? I don't pay rent. I just bought an abandoned house. You wanna have a look? Abandoned for 10 years and then I got it and then I made it into a Swedish style Japanese home. Oh my goodness. Doesn't feel like Japan, right? No, it doesn't. Outdoor shower. Outdoor shower. It's a rotenburo in Japanese. I saved the old Japanese pink towels. Living room. I lowered the floor because I like the space. Swedish kitchen, high countertop. These are for earthquakes. There was a concrete beam here. Upstairs. All the way. Oh, that light's cute. Yeah, that's original. So funny. It's beautiful, no? It's in two bedrooms. First Japanese tatami mats. Wow. But the tatami itself gives some softness. Yeah, what's this for over here? Like sacred space. For you Americans out here, the meditation corner. This is like the type of place I was hoping to stay in. You know, why was it? You wanna stay here tonight? He's gonna let me stay here tonight. Let's go. Beautiful. Thank you. Everybody knows someone who owns a car. Mm-hmm. It's the same in Japan. Everybody knows someone who in their family possesses an abandoned house.
