It's very alarming. That does seem to be true that you have to curry favor with the president or someone in the president's inner circle to be able to get a pardon. That's not how it's supposed to work. And that creates a two tier system of justice. It reinforces some of the existing inequalities in our criminal justice system. And it also gives the president essentially an army of people who are desperate to get a pardon, who will do anything, whether it's show political loyalty, do favors or contribute cold, hard cash in the way that Paul Walzak's mother did to be able to get those pardons. And that just deepens the corruption that we are seeing in this administration. And it is very, very damaging to the justice system and to the rule of law. Yeah. So she attended that dinner.
