Oh my gosh, y'all. Today, I just got asked a question that I've never been asked before by a kindergartner. Now, keep in mind, y'all, these kids don't have a lot of exposure to black people, especially face-to-face. So remember that. I walked into a classroom, was saying hi to some kids. This boy walked up, rubbed my arm, and then smelled it. And I was like, oh, I'm not chocolate. Then his friend walks up next to him, and she's like, you 're not chocolate? I was like, no, I'm not chocolate. And she was like, what are you? I was like, I'm a boy. And she was like, are you a human? Like, yeah, you're a human, you're a human, and I'm a human And then she looked at my ears. I was kneeling next to them, and she looked at my ears. She's like, wow, she's touching my ears. She's like, so small. And your hair, she touched my hair and went like, whoa. Okay, so we know Japanese is not okay in English class, right? Okay, okay, okay. Okay, but you can say Japanese names. That's okay. Why, why, why? Like Tokyo or... Sushi. I'm hungry. I'm hungry. Nintendo. Yes, yes. Those are okay, all right? Mr. Patrick, okay? Yes, okay? No, that, no. What? Because you know my name is Mr. Patrick, so you can say Mr. No, you say Japanese, okay? No, it's Mr. Patrick. No, no, no. Mr. Patrick, Mr. Patrick, you got your Japanese? I'm okay. I want to show you something, okay? Show you? Show you? I'm going to show you. Show you. Show you. But first, boys and girls, I have something. Should I drink it? Should I drink it? Yes? Okay.
