Can someone explain this?

Every couple of months, my fridge decides to make a single ice cube that is very, very strange. It's spiky. The first time it happened, I was pretty excited, but I just thought it was a miracle. But then a few months later, it happened again. This one's huge! And then again. And again. And I got to a point where I needed to know why this was happening, because what's going on? So, I googled it, and there does seem to be a scientific explanation, but it didn't really make sense to me. Plus, it says that it needs pure water to happen, and New York City tap water has micro shrimp in it, so that can't be it. So then, the next thing I did was post it on my story to see if anybody can explain, and pretty soon after, I received an email from somebody called Ezgi with this picture. Now that theory made sense to me. So until Hank Green explains this to me, it'll be the theory that I believe.
