Welcome back. I started planting this clay garden as an experiment because I ran out of spots to put my recycled clay. I'm leaving in some of the rocks and debris from the ground just to see how they interact with the clay in the kiln. I'm also trying something new by adding some regular stone ware to the clay just to improve the strength. This is going to be the hottest temperature I've ever fired this stuff so hopefully it's got enough durability to not melt in the kiln. After everything's all thrown, I'll run it through bisque and then dip it in some glaze. I fired this pitcher for about 8 hours in reduction to cone 10. I chose this lighter blue glaze because I wanted to see where the rocks melted and all that high iron content popped through. I'm so pumped with how it turned out and I can't wait to run some more tests.
