Why animals don't cross this mysterious line? [ 🎥 geoglobe_tales]

Can you believe that there is an invisible line that is not crossed by fish, land animals, or even birds? This invisible barrier runs through the Malay archipelago, starting from the island of Bali and ending near the southern Philippines. The western side of the line is home to animals like rhinos , elephants, tigers, and woodpeckers, which are typical of Asia. But once you cross the line, you enter a completely different world with kangaroos, monitor lizards, dingoes, and koalas, despite the extremely short distance between the islands. This is what scientists call a biological boundary, and this particular one is known as the Wallace line. You see, over millions of years, due to the movement of te ctonic plates and the complex geological history of the region, a deep sea strait formed on the Wallace line. This strait prevented animals from migrating, and as a result, evolution took its own path on opposite sides of this line. Therefore, even birds and fish that can cross long distances almost never cross this line as they have adapted to survive only within their own ecosystems.

Resmin alt kısmında "that there is" ifadesi yer alıyor.
